Ok so, there was a comment made by a friend today that kinda nudged me the wrong way. I really disliked it, mostly because i found the comment to be the equivalent with pointing a finger at someone. Remember you have three pointing back.

“Arguing with an Obama supporter is similar to arguing with a fundamentalist christian: blind faith. They don’t see his motives.”

Now, I find loads wrong with this comment. Believing in a politician does not equate to blind faith. And i feel the same way when trying to to talk to cynics. Their “blind faith” is the fact that there is no faith to be had. They rely on it the same way devout Christians to their faith. As a former christian I have come into contact with such faith but i have also met people of that faith who are very kind and accepting. My mother for one. She is a devout christian, a member of a faith that supposedly abhors homosexuality, yet she has not one but two queer sons. And very weird daughters but that’s another story. 

Back to the topic at hand, there are some who in my opinion who have “blind lack of faith”. Always assuming the worst and respond just as vehemently to criticism as those who they say suffer from “blind faith”. Now I’m not saying that i don’t doubt Obama and the subtext behind his announcement. But at the same time i can enjoy it to, but these people who continue on on about how Obama is a shady, liar and blah blah blah and such just irk me. One has to find a balance between trust and doubt and sometimes exist in the middle ground. Then again that may just be the Buddhist in me speaking but w/e. I just had opinions and felt like sharing them. Your more than welcome to flame me for it. I’ll accept the criticisms and roll with it. (I rolled it the first time lols yay for fuck ups*
